Common Questions
Everything you need to know about our weekend dance socials for adults 45+ across Latvia
No, you don't need a partner. Our Rīga Teika kizomba socials welcome solo dancers, and we rotate partners throughout the evening so everyone gets to dance with different people. It's a great way to meet other dancers in the community.
We organize seasonal retreats near Sigulda, typically monthly from May through September. Each weekend brings a mix of kizomba and salsa instruction, social dancing by the lake, and opportunities to connect with dancers from across Latvia. The natural setting makes these gatherings really special.
Not at all. While the Teika socials are for intermediate dancers, our Sigulda lakeside retreats and Ventspils themed nights include beginner-friendly instruction sessions. We're all about building community, and experienced dancers are always happy to help newcomers learn the basics in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Our Ventspils Seaside Park events feature themed dance nights with live or curated music, often focusing on specific styles like classic salsa or contemporary kizomba. You'll get social dancing, music, and that beautiful coastal atmosphere. Dates and themes are announced on our socials, so check back regularly for what's coming up.
We share all upcoming events across our social channels and send regular updates to our community. The easiest way to stay in the loop is to reach out and let us know which regions interest you—whether that's Teika, Sigulda, Ventspils, or Courland. We'll make sure you hear about what's happening.
Wear something comfortable that lets you move freely—no special dance clothes required. Indoor Teika socials are smart casual, while Sigulda lakeside and Ventspils seaside events might be slightly more relaxed. Most importantly, wear comfortable shoes you can dance in for a few hours.
